Overview

In a world where chaos breathes down everyone’s neck, order must have fangs. The Imperial Bloodhounds rose from the mud and ash of past wars, but under the genius gaze of the Throne, they were reborn. Their evolution from crude hunters to guardians of the supreme Imperial Law is not merely social mimicry; it is a triumph of state engineering.

Warning Read carefully

…if you do not wish to end up in their casemates.

These hounds grew from the filth and the scent of sweat of fugitive slaves. A dirty beginning for an organization that now decides fates in the High Court. The Imperial Bloodhounds are far more than a punishing sword; they are the steel framework upon which our civilization rests. Their dual nature—as relentless investigators and as final executors of the Court’s will—makes them the only force capable of keeping the Empire of Franor from disintegration.

Fewer than 1,500 elite agents stand watch over our vast lands, yet their fame for “sniffing out” treason is legendary. In an era of lies, they are the only standard of harsh but necessary truth. For every officer, there are dozens of informants, ensuring that no enemy of the Crown can hide in the shadows. They do not merely await a verdict; they bring justice to places where others are afraid to even whisper.

The Accursed Rookie's Badge

— “Damn, I thought back then: ‘What’s this neophyte gonna do to me?’—now I sit in a port town without an arm, awaiting death in poverty.”

*Commentary: Fools see cruelty in this. The wise see the inevitability of punishment, without which the law is but scribbled paper.*

Strict hierarchy and meritocracy allow the best of the best to rise to the peaks. Any graduate of the Military Academy who dons the Bloodhound’s cloak knows: he serves no myths, he serves the Emperor—the living guarantor of our existence.

Summary

Summary About 1,500 “Hounds” across 11 Sectors. They are not an army. They are a surgical instrument, excising rot so that the organism of the Empire may live.

Structure & Hierarchy

The number of those who bear this heavy burden is 1,487. Each of them is a cog in the flawless mechanism of absolute power:

  • General (1): Personal Representative of the Court to the Emperor. Coordinator of the Order. Conduit of the Monarch’s unbreakable will.
  • Secraidor (11): Heads of investigative departments. Pillars of order in the sectors, reporting to the Supreme Judge.
  • Captain (~33): Archive keepers and group commanders. Those whose tactics direct the strike.
  • Vice-Captain (~70): The elite enforcers. The shield of inquiry.
  • Inspector (~200): The Eye of the Althing. Possessors of the right to demand answers even from high lords, for before Odwin’s Law, all are equal.
  • Bloodhound (~700): Operatives. The hands of the law working “in the field.”
  • Neophyte (~400): Acolytes. The future of the Order, undergoing tempering by reality.

The Emperor possesses absolute power, for he forged it himself. Yet his wisdom was manifested in the creation of a system of “sanctioned justice.” He limited arbitrariness to create a System. Bloodhounds do not act on a whim—they require a mandate. The General of the Bloodhounds acts as the guarantor that the Monarch’s will is executed flawlessly, without violating the Code he himself wrote.

The Bloodhounds are tied to Judicial Districts: Central and Western (Vagge). Inspectors are the vision of the Court. Their authority allows for immediate decision-making. Even an Exarch bows his head before the sanction of the Supreme Court that they carry. This makes them the most formidable, yet most respected servants of the Empire.

Summer of the year 3742

— “I will not let them do whatever they please—on MY lands!” — “My Lord, but this is an order from the Supreme Court.” — “Shove that order up your arse! I have an army! Let them come and explain…” — “But how will the Emperor react?” — “Let him come too…”

*Two weeks later—“He” came. And the world became cleaner by one traitor.*

Origin

The history of the Bloodhounds is the story of how Great Odwin, by the force of his intellect, turned the chaos of war into the order of peace. Their lineage is rooted in the hard times of the war against the Zoomorphs. Then, in the face of the threat, a brotherhood of veterans formed, whose fury was directed at protecting the race. But the war ended, and these warriors could have become a threat… were it not for the Emperor’s genius.

It was Odwin, the sole savior of the Blondes, who saw a resource in this “unbridled fury.” He needed no prayers; he needed tools. He organized the Order, turning blind hatred into a sighted mechanism of state control. From overseers and hunters, they transformed into sentinels. At first, they were crude, but the hand of Odwin’s closest associates faceted this diamond, turning it into a cold, disciplined machine.

Their transformation was a triumph of the Emperor’s will. In the shortest time, they became the pillar of executive and investigative power. In an era of turmoil, the Bloodhounds became a symbol of Reliability. While others sought solace in superstitions, the Bloodhounds acted.

This rise could not help but incite envy among the petty “little tsars” trembling for their privileges. The period of 3741–3746 became a test of strength. The nobility tried to sabotage the new order, but thanks to the Emperor’s unyielding nature and the efficiency of the Bloodhounds, this cancerous tumor of separatism was excised. The opposition was not merely suppressed—it was destroyed, proving that in the Empire, there is only one Power and one Law.

Remark

Many fear the Bloodhounds. But does a child not fear the surgeon saving his life? In this grim world, they are the few who understand: order is not granted from above; it is taken by force. And they are the force that holds up the walls of our home.
