Overview
The story of love between a Xerastess and a Human is not a chronicle of romance, but of a crime against the purity of Blood and religious heresy. How dared her mother grant her seed to some cold-blooded human? An honorable execution is the only thing that atoned for her sins and granted her daughter the right to Absolution. By becoming an elite warrior of Eshgal, the Maidens (as they alternatively call their goddesses) will forget the sins of the mother that blackened not only her daughter but the entire ancient lineage of Issaru, and grant us all the strength to prevent such a thing from happening again!
They didn’t stand on ceremony with the father—slit his throat at his first attempt to open his filthy mouth. The mother, however, was put through all the circles of Sesh Nunshai—a strict ritual, at the end of which lies only one long and agonizing death. Seizing upon this gift, the Matriarchal Empire of Khashram al-Qsar is organizing, for the first time in history, an expedition using the eyes and strength of its Chosen Race into the north of the Mangfold Continent.
