⚔️ Weapon Classes
The martial specializations of gear. Add these to the weapon properties:
- 💪 Blunt: Heavy maces, warhammers, and mauls. Designed to turn plate armor into a crushed tin can and the bones beneath into pulp. The primary answer to heavy infantry.
- 🤺 Fencing: Estocs, rapiers, and thin blades. Precision tools for those who value a thrust into a harness joint or a visor slit over brute force.
- 🦯 Flexible: Chains, flails, and weighted whips. Unpredictable steel that bypasses shields to strike the neck or limbs behind them.
- 🔪 Short: Daggers, stilettos, and boot knives. Weapons of last resort or silent assassination. Easily concealed in a sleeve, boot, or under a pillow.
- 🏹 Ranged: Crossbow bolts and arrows. Death arriving from the grey haze. Capable of thinning out ranks before the first line of steel meets.
- 🪓 Cleaving: Axes, poleaxes, and hatchets. Top-heavy implements capable of cleaving through a heavy oak shield and the arm holding it in a single strike.
- 🗡️ Bladed: Swords, broadswords, and arming swords. Versatile, reliable steel. The standard-bearer of martial prowess and the most balanced tool in a soldier’s kit.
- ♠️ Polearms: Spears, pikes, and halberds. The foundation of the formation. A wall of sharpened steel that keeps the enemy at a distance of two paces.
💎 Weapon Rarity (Quality)
The scarcity and craftsmanship of the blade. Add these to the weapon properties:
- ⚪ Common: Standard-issue or mass-produced. Reliable but unremarkable iron. Used by the rank-and-file of the Empire.
- 🟢 Fine: Superior craftsmanship. Forged with better steel and balance. Favored by veterans and knights.
- 🔵 Distinguished: High-born steel. Often bears a smith’s mark or minor decorations. Exceptional durability and sharpness.
- 🟣 Illustrious : Masterwork. A rare find, often associated with legendary deeds or infused with trace amounts of magical ore.
- 🟠 Relic: One of a kind. A unique artifact with its own history and name. There is only one in the world, and its power is as terrifying as its legacy.
