Overview
Solis-Altiro. A city ingrown into the high-mountain plateau like a steel spike driven into the knee of a god. The eastern sun does not merely illuminate it—it blinds enemies, reflecting off the white stone of the bastions, earning the capital the nickname “The Crown City.” But behind the dazzling shine hides a fortress whose walls have soaked up enough blood to paint the sunset crimson.
This is not just the capital of the Kingdom of Rede. It is the starting point of all geopolitical hurricanes of the last five hundred years, grinding the map of the continent.
The city has spawned titans whose names are synonyms for power:
- Niko di Rede — unshakable, like a rock against which hundreds of storms have crashed.
- Lorenzo di Rede — the prudent and cunning architect of politics, calculating the moves of every valuable piece.
- Warlord Unius — who passed through dozens, if not hundreds, of the hardest battles and emerged victorious.
- Ineigo di Rede — the most fearless king in the entire history of the kingdom.
Maara, Gutie, Sarin, and many others—these names are sung by all skalds: local and overseas. But even their greatness faded before the one carved upon the crest — Bella di Rede.
The only time in history Solis-Altiro stood on the edge of the grave, it was pushed there not by external enemies, but by its own nobility. These perfumed bastards, whose lineages are longer than their honor, could not stomach the will of the late King Nikodos. When he, dying, signed the right of succession to a woman, the highborn scum behaved like a pack of offended dogs.
They preferred to see their city in flames rather than bend the knee to a “wench.” Driven by their petty arrogance and stinking prejudices, these traitor-lords let the army of the Kingdom of Luis through the passes, hoping the invaders would rid them of the “shame” of female rule.
They miscalculated.
Bella di Rede did not shed tears. She showed that beneath the silk of her dress lay steel that was absent in the balls of all her nobility. While the enemy stood at the gates, she, following the letter of the harsh charter, methodically and cold-bloodedly sent to the chopping block everyone who had a hand in the treason. Right on the walls, under the whistle of enemy arrows, she gutted the conspirators, taking command of the defense.
She didn’t just retake the city. She turned the retreat of Luis into a bloody marathon, reaching the walls of their capital and tearing peace straight from their throats. From that day on, in Rede, they know: the crown has no gender. It has only weight, which only true blood can bear.
